Firefox Companion for eBay and misspelling plugins
In case you haven’t seen it, eBay.co.uk have just released a co-branded version of the Mozilla Firefox Web browser. It’s actually not a completely new version of the browser but instead a kind of super-plugin that allows you to to keep an eye on your eBay trading where ever you are on the web.
Once installed, a great big button appears on the toolbar labelled ‘ebay’ which gives you quick access to the eBay homepage as well as your own ‘My eBay’ page. You can also enter your login details and customise alert levels. Once alerts are created it will keep track of all auctions that you’re following so that you can sneak in and make that last minute bid.
For the security concious, it will check that the eBay site you’re trying to log in to is actually an offical site and not a spoof site that is trying to steal your login details so that hackers can gain access to your account.
We’ve thoroughly tested it and can tell you that our Mozilla Firefox eBay typo plugins work perfectly with it, making them the perfect companion !
